Product Specification

• Suitable for small patch work or large die rebuilds.
• Maintains strength and wear resistance at high temperatures.
• Hardness adjustable (35–40 HRC) via post-weld heat treatment.
• Good hot strength for forging dies.

• Low carbon, Cr-Ni-Mo-V alloy steel.
• Chemistry optimized for elevated temperature wear resistance.

• Ensure electrodes are completely dry.
• Preheat base metal to 200–300 °C.
• Use stringer beads, short arc; limit weave to ≤3× electrode dia.
• Peen weld deposit after welding.
• Post-weld heat treatment: reheat 450–650 °C to control hardness (35–40 HRC).

• Repair and build-up of hot forging dies.
• Suitable for both small patches and extensive repairs.
• Steel, forging, and heavy industry die maintenance.
