CORDIFF 814
Flux-cored wire for heat- and thermal shock-resistant build-up of hot forging dies.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
CORDIFF 814 is a flux-cored wire electrode depositing a rich Cr-Ni-Mo-V alloy weld metal with low carbon content. Designed for building up the working faces of composite hot forging dies, it provides excellent wear resistance at elevated temperatures, high hot strength, and superior thermal shock resistance. The deposit offers good machinability and achieves 44–48 HRc in the as-welded condition. Preheating of the base metal is recommended for best results.
