CORDIFF 68 OA
Open arc flux-cored wire for extreme mineral wear resistance up to 800 °C with a hard ledeburitic carbide-rich deposit.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
• Very high C-Cr-B alloyed open arc wire for extreme mineral wear
• Operates effectively at temperatures up to 800 °C
• Weld deposit forms a ledeburitic structure with hypereutectic carbides
• Minimal slag, excellent weldability, effective in 1–2 layer deposits

Product Specification
• Excellent resistance to mineral wear and thermal degradation
• High-temperature hardness retention (only ~10% loss at 650 °C)
• Suitable for non-corrosive, low-impact environments
• Recommended with buffering layer on sensitive or pre-hardened surfaces
• High Carbon and Chromium
• Boron for carbide formation
• Hypereutectic carbides in a hard matrix
• Ledeburitic structure with thermal wear stability
• For optimum results, perform welding in two layers.
• The resulting weld deposits cannot be heat treated, machined, or forged.
• When overlaying previously hard-faced surfaces, use a buffer layer of Cordiff 200K or Cordiff 250K before applying the final layer.
• Iron ores
• Coal chutes
• Coke oven screens
• Pulverizer hammers
