Product Specification
• Cold welding capability, excellent colour match, easy slag removal, machinable with HSS tools.
• It can also weld cast iron to steel, dirty, oily cast irons
• The weld metal is highly crack resistant
• Complex flux coating with graphite, minimal iron carbide, low martensite.
• Gouge out/grind the cracks in ‘U’ shape.
• Clean the weld area if possible, remove all oil & grease.
• Employ lowest possible current, short arc, 20-30 mm stringer beads.
• Use staggered welding sequence.
• Remove the slag only after the weld has cooled to about 200°C.
• Peen the deposit in between passes.
• Welding grey, malleable, nodular, and ductile irons; cast iron to steel; oily/dirty cast irons; thick-to-thin sections.
